TERMS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: July 2026

OVERVIEW

This website is operated by the Brand. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Brand. We offer this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/or purchasing digital products from us, including Sourdough Architect: Engineering the Perfect Loaf from Scratch and related sourdough culinary publications (collectively, the "Digital Products"), you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”).

1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & OWNERSHIP

All content included in or made available through our Digital Products and website—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, recipe formulations, structural techniques, instructional methods, digital downloads, data compilations, and software—is the exclusive property of the Brand and is protected by United States, Canadian, Australian, European, and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Our unique methodologies, naming conventions, and structural frameworks for artisanal, wild-yeast sourdough baking are proprietary. The purchase of any Digital Product does not transfer any intellectual property rights, ownership, or title to you.

2. DIGITAL LICENSE GRANT & PERMITTED USE

2.1 Single-User License

Upon receipt of your payment, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to download, view, and use a single copy of the purchased Digital Product strictly for your own personal, non-commercial educational use.

2.2 Strict Prohibitions on Distribution

Under this license, you are strictly prohibited from engaging in any of the following activities:

  • Unauthorized Sharing: You may not share, email, text, host on shared drives (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox), or otherwise distribute the Digital Products or any portions thereof to any third party.

  • Commercial Exploitation: You may not resell, re-license, rent, lease, or use the contents of our guides for commercial purposes, corporate training, commercial bakery production methods, or paid culinary instruction without obtaining a separate, explicit commercial license from us.

  • Derivative Works: You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on our text, charts, or images.

  • Public Display: You may not publish, post publicly, or excerpt any part of the Digital Products on blogs, social media platforms, public forums, or websites.

  • AI Training Data: You are strictly prohibited from using the text, data, or proprietary techniques contained within our Digital Products to train, fine-tune, or feed artificial intelligence models, large language models (LLMs), or machine learning algorithms.

Legal Action Notice: Any unauthorized use, distribution, or reproduction of our intellectual property constitutes a material breach of these Terms and a violation of international copyright law. We actively monitor digital distribution channels and will pursue statutory damages, injunctions, and legal fees against violators to the fullest extent of the law.

3. CULINARY DISCLAIMER & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

3.1 Nature of Pure Sourdough Baking

Our Digital Products provide specialized educational content focusing exclusively on natural, artisanal sourdough fermentation utilizing wild yeast cultures (excluding commercial baker's yeast and chemical leavening agents such as sodium bicarbonate).

3.2 Disclaimer of Results

Sourdough baking is highly dependent on environmental variables, including but not limited to: ambient temperature, humidity, altitude, local water properties, wild yeast strains, flour protein composition, and individual execution.

  • We provide no guarantees, warranties, or assurances regarding the specific culinary outcomes, aesthetic appearance, or crumb structure of your baked goods.

  • All structural frameworks and instructions are provided "as is" for educational purposes.

3.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Brand, our directors, officers, employees, or affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages of any kind—including, without limitation, lost profits, kitchen or equipment damage, ingredient spoilage, or personal injury—arising from your use of, or inability to use, our recipes, technical instructions, or equipment recommendations.

4. PURCHASE, PAYMENT, AND REFUNDS

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. Prices for our products (including the standard retail price of $47 for Sourdough Architect) are subject to change without notice.

All payments are processed securely via third-party providers on Shopify. By completing your transaction, you acknowledge that your purchase is governed by our Global Digital Products Refund Policy, which enforces a strict no-refunds, all-sales-final policy globally upon delivery of the digital asset, subject only to mandatory local consumer protection laws (such as the Australian Consumer Law).

5. PROHIBITED USES OF THE STOREFRONT

In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using the site or its content:

  • For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts.

  • To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, or laws.

  • To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others.

  • To submit false or misleading information or upload malicious code.

6. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Florida, USA], without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the purchase of our Digital Products shall be instituted exclusively in the courts located in [Pinellas County, Florida, USA], and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
